One Step Ahead of the Herd

You belong to one of two groups of workers. You are both a mover and shaker or you are a whiner and complainer. Which of the two is your private business. The movers and shakers of your company go up the corporate ladder swiftly, get most of the perks and take vacations to Jamaica. The whiners and complainers never go any further than the coffee machine. That is where all the other losers gather to complain and whine about the go-getters. Their lives are filled with angst, regret and sometimes hate. Year after year, they do the same drudgework like drones in a beehive. People in this group are replaceable and often are. I mean, who wants to hang around people like that, especially at work? Not me and certainly not you.

I am a go-getter. I see what I want and I go for it, often times successfully. However, it did not come naturally. It took patience, change and lots of studying. Life is short, why settle for anything less than the best? Wouldn't you agree?

I am going to share with you a few of the books I used to reconstruct myself. This little bit of info will show you how the big boys (and girls) do it. With persistence and practice, you will do it, too.

The Rules of Work by British author, Richard Templar is the first of several books I will introduce to you (if you haven't read yet). This 219 page book is a must if you want to climb that ladder and make more money doing the very thing you love to do. Eye opening revelations that teach its readers the difference between those that stay on the porch and those that run ahead of the pack.
